Baby's Breath

Against my heart your head,
heavy with sleep, gently nods.
Cheeks, blushed pink,
caressed with dainty lashes.
Cherub lips parted, warm
with tender milk-sweet breath.

The sun grows stronger,
distant noises hurry to far away deadlines,
but in this chair,
Mother Earth turns gently.
